Welcome to the Lasorda Legacy website where we’ll pay tribute to the amazing life, Hall-of-Fame career, inspiring philosophies, and crowd-pleasing antics of Tommy Lasorda, winner of two World Series for the LA Dodgers, and global ambassador for all of baseball. On this platform, we’ll use the metaphor of a baseball field to chart Lasorda’s incredible life journey starting at home plate, then rounding the bases, and eventually returning home. We’ll start at home plate with Tommy Lasorda’s origin story in hometown Norristown, Pennsylvania growing up in a loving, hard-working Italian-American family.

We'll advance to First Base to tell the story of Lasorda's dream to turn his passion for baseball into a pro baseball career. First Base will also begin to document the epic and enduring love story and partnership of Tommy and Jo Lasorda. The couple met while Tommy was a minor leaguer, and would be married for 70 years.

Second Base moves on to the next chapter where Lasorda’s stellar baseball mind and leadership qualities propel him from scout to coach to his ultimate dream of managing the Dodgers.

Third Base will focus on Lasorda’s role as baseball’s global ambassador, including his many movie, tv and advertising appearances, and his return to managing to lead Team USA baseball in the 2000 Olympics.

Finally, we’ll take you into the Clubhouse where we'll honor the enduring legacy of Tommy Lasorda after he passed away in 2021 and entered the gates of Dodger Heaven. We believe deeply that the example of Tommy Lasorda --his personal integrity, deep love of people, infinite gratitude and joy of life-- hold lessons that are universal and timeless.

This is a family-managed site, and so many of the photos, letters, videos and other artifacts we’ll have on the site are privately-owned and rarely-seen. We’re honored to share them here with you.
